Busy New Yorker

We cheer from our deck over looking the lake when the bigger white bird steals a fish from a flying seagull. It's an impressive feat, like a relay race in the air. We cheer because the other bird is a seagull - a rat with wings. What does he need with a live fish? How did he get it, anyway? Go back to the garbage dump, gull, leave these waters to the real birds. You like garbage good enough.

But the bigger bird isn't safe either. With his prize he tries to land, but the water beneath him starts boiling with hungry fish. So the bigger bird eats while flying, like a busy New Yorker.
